| Title: Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 63 ![]() | Cars Forum I recently acquired a very very great domain related to cars in general. I'm thinking of launching a forum very similar to "automotiveforums.com" but unsure. Do you think its a good idea to have a forum that covers a wide variety of cars? Not sure what I can add to make it different and unique. Maybe a "Garage Page" for my members? Any suggestions would be nice | ||||

| Making a non-specific car related forum is hard nowadays. It's not impossible, but it is much harder than a specific car/group of cars. You may think "if I only use _____ car, then I'm limiting my memberships", but in reality, you're being more specific and are going to get a much better target audience and people will stay around because there is model/make specific information there, without having to search through other non-related automotive ideas. Automotiveforums is huge, but I dislike it, it's too broad and I don't see too many actual car nuts on it, more teens that aren't too sure of what they're doing.

| Title: Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 63 ![]() | my domain is "carz.com" so I can't have it really in a specific car niche. I'm trying to think of a way to have it so that "car people" will enjoy staying. The only thing I can think of is a user garage page and point system for gas gift cards. | ||||

| Yeah. You could do a Datsun/Nissan Z Car forum if you're interested.
