I think it depends. DMOZ is huge and a top 1,000 site, I seriously doubt they penalize links in there.

No, however, DMOZ is also very specific about what they index and when you submit your link, you do not instantly appear. It takes time with DMOZ. You could see your link in a day or it could be months down the road, it just all depends.

Right now we are doing auto approved. We need links right now. DMOZ has the luxury of being able to do that... we don't. Just because you submit your link doesn't mean it won't be removed or approved. As the directory builds and popularity grows, we will review submissions.

Added analytics report. We added a webring and articles system today which peaked interest in StumbleUpon users. It will be hard to repeat 200 users a day until the site is established.

Update coming soon. Traffic has slowed down (expected) but not done marketing yet. Alex rank is back up. Broke back into top 100,000 briefly but 3 mo average still hi (only been up for 2.5 weeks).

Will update tomorrow evening.
