buying a flash game

I have talked to the author of a online multiplayer flash game, and he is interested in selling me a lisence, but how much should I offer ?

I have no clue what its worth and Im not even sure I can afford it so what do you guys think I should offer for a non exclusive copy of this ?

Hmm to be honest I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask this question. I highly doubt that anyone here will have done this as this is not something standard to forums. I think that the best thing you can do is have a look at forums which is more geared towards flash games and see what they think. They are likely to have a better idea than anyone here.

The only thing I can add to that is, don't buy anything if you don't know its worth.
