  | Page Critique Hey all, We are working on a new portal page for ABA DSS Free to Air FTA DSS Files Forum. there is some minor stuff that we are still working on but i want to hear some feedback on the layout etc. i want to release this thing within the next week 1) the links on recent posts don't work 2) the announcements and reviews don't parse bbcode yet Please have at me ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community is the new one ABA DSS Free to Air FTA DSS Files Forum is the current one

| I like it and the colors are nice. But it is incredibly wordy. On my wide screen laptop there are so many words. You break it up nicely on the top area with the different color boxes, but below it gets real filled with text. i like the direction you are going because the new version is more instantly appealing then the current one. I look forward to seeing any new samples you post.

| agreed, we are trying to get the thing to parse bbcode in which case it would display the graphics from the announcements section. we are also going to put in a few banners

  | I definitely agree, right when I saw it I thought it was better than the current one. I can see what TVDinner thinks about being wordy but it almost looks good the way it is to me, not much I can think of to suggest.

 | hmm i would agree with above its pretty wordy and alot happening, gets confusing where to actually look.. on my laptop the width just doesnt look correct, the top banner add looks out of scew with the rest of the page (im using latest IE) and god help me get rid of that toolbar advert - seriously they are the worse. the colour scheme is very nice, but again i get drawn to your bad use of advertising. Actually now looking at all you adverts I think if you got rid of them you would have a really nice site, but with them its just not very nice. (attached screen shot!)

| the screen shot you attached is of the page we are looking to replace. if you have any suggestions for the new page, would be helpful
