![]() | Hi guys This seems to be a bit of a mixed answer.. so i'd love to hear some feedback. When do you think is the best time to launch? Is a good amount of content really important? What were your prerequisites when you launched your website? |

| Super Moderator ![]() | It depends on the site, but for a small one I would let the bots see it as soon as you can, if it's a professional site I would wait till you had the design and content on the web to launch

![]() | As long as you have a bunch of complete pages with no broken links. I tend to launch my sites once I have 5 pages done The earlier, the better for your SEO

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | my personal opinion is that you need to have everything ready and set when you launch. if you just have a bunch of empty pages with "coming soon" on them, you gain nothing from launching. you should fill your pages with relevant links, keywords and text so everything will be spidered faster and give you a better opportunity to ranked. If you have a forum I ALWAYS believe you should fill it up with as much relevant threads as you can. Even if you have to make up 3 fake user names to post in threads you are creating - do it. that way if anyone finds your site they will think it is busy and hopefully start participating. If you launch a site with no topics, no posts, and no info, noone will post or participate.

![]() | @Sir TVDinner Some very good points there! Personally, I don't mind one or two coming soon (I have seen people doing that for "about me/about us", portfolio) but definitely no broken links. @pearshaker I'm in for creating good amount of content before the launch. Without good content, it's very difficult to promote the site. First time visitors aren't likely to stay for long enough to decide whether a subscription (RSS, Email) is warranted either. |
