Oh no I am not talking about doing it that way. There is a way where you can pay for a song or video for a person and send it to their account to download.

Ohhh! iTunes lets you do that? That would even be cool for like a birthday gift or something.

Adam - about the free shows...you do know that ABC is now letting anybody watch Lost the day after it airs, correct? You can do this for free and the speed is great. I'm not sure whether or not you or your users are aware of this...I think it's a great idea that you're giving them shows for free, but if you didn't already know that ABC also does this, it would be good info...so that you don't depend on this for success.

Caitlyn...I don't have any experience running these forums, but I'd say that you should only expect things to slow down during the off-season. You might can come up with some stuff to do in order to encourage activity during the off-season, but all in all, if there's absolutely nothing to talk about, don't force people to. That's not to say that everybody will go silent during the off season though...as some others have already said, there is still stuff to talk about...new characters, predicitions, reviews, trivia, previews, rumors, etc.

Maybe you could pick up a summer show also? I know there are shows that run during the summer....If you run a forum on each show, you would nearly have year-round consistent activity.

Good idea, Ryan. Just that once you've added another show, it no longer makes the forum based to a specific audience and I know as a forum member, I don't like when a forum has an indirect target.

No, I wasn't talking about having 2 shows in 1 forum...I was suggesting running 2 separate forums - one on a summer show, one on a winter show. That way you have something to do in the summer. Now, it would be good if you could find similar shows though...that way when one ends, you can encourage your members to watch the other and head on over to your other forums.

True, but I would wanna keep just one forum. And keep it active. That's double the hosting, double the domain payments, when really I am just interested in the one show mostly.

Caitlyn,

I run a lost fan board. We have been around since before the pilot. We did go through the summer okay. However, our show had a lot to talk about. Lots of speculation & theories, why did they kill off a character, etc.

We have a character/actor area, were most people show interest when the lost actor is working on something else, etc. If you can, could you tell us what show has you piqued?
