tv-related forums...

I just registered six domains for some upcoming tv shows:

Quote:
JERICHO-FORUM.COM
JERICHOTV.NET
THENINEFORUM.COM
NINEFORUM.NET
SIXDEGREES-FORUM.COM
SIXDEGREESFORUM.NET
These are mainly for forums for these tv shows:

Jericho by CBS
The Nine by ABC
Six Degrees by ABC

Now, I run a Lost forum which wasn't met with a whole lot of success, so I'm basically asking successful forum owners specifically related to tv shows, how should I progress? These shows won't be launched until next fall.

Chances are all three shows won't be hits... so how should I pursue this? All seem like shows that won't progress past a season or two...

Thanks,

Daniel

6º Is being directed by JJ Abrams, the same guy who directed ALIAS & LOST for tv. I think that show will be a hit, and would focus on that.

Just a note that J.J. Abrams also created the show "What About Brian", which has flopped. The only reason it is getting a second season is because ABC feels they owe him something. If that weren't the case, it would have been canceled. But then again, this could be a good reason to run a forum based on Six Degrees. No matter how badly it does, ABC won't cancel it.

I'm just a little bitter because ABC canceled "Invasion" which did much better than "What About Brian". I won't be watching many ABC shows in the future...

Indeed... that was dissapointing. I loved that show.

So with these domain names, which would be the best to base the site off of? With dashes.com or without dashes.net?

Both just redirect one to the other IMO use the dash.com but for SE and .net for word of mouth. Also I would start right now so you can build up a user base and get great SE listings.

^ Yeah, that's sort of the idea. Get rankings a few months before the show starts and knock out the competition.

So use the .com for the actual site and SE, but redirect the .nets.

That's a good idea, Adam. That way, you can see where your business is comming from... word of mouth, or advertising.
