| forum stats Ok, my admincp says i had 58 users log in over 24 hours, but my server stats say i get 500 visits a day, im guesing that the 442 'guests' is a mix of real guests and search bots? Does anyone of you guys have a good system to understand genuine forum stats?

Well, the Statistics section in your vB ACP should be pretty sufficient...if you haven't used it yet, you will find it near the bottom of your ACP in the "Statistics & Logs" section...click Statistics and go from there...you can view stats on registrations, posts, threads, etc. If you're referring to traffic statistics, I would recommend Awstats or some third part program such as Extreme Tracking or Google Analytics

| I agree with Ryan try a 3rd party program. I use Extreme Tracking and Google Analytics Just because 58 users logged in doesn't mean they don't check the forum a couple of times a day. I believe every time a visitor no matter if they are logged in or not its a "visit", so your 58 user could have visited your site 5 times a piece and you would have about 300 visits right there. You should rely more on unique visitors more than “visits”. | ||||

| my stats on admincp are fecked, it only holds stats from 8th sept to 26th Jan..which is when i was running 3.0, i remember upgrading to 3.5 just before my licence expired in feb, should i rebuild statstics via the maintenance? that will couse the lose of all the data tho... bugger, what should i do?
