How is your Staff sub-forum organized?

How many sections of your staff forum/sub-forum has? I currently have three. One for handling the forum stuff, one for casual staff chit-chat and the bin, where we move the controversial threads.

we have 2 main forums "archive" and "staff"

archive is where all the unneccesary threads are moved to

staff has 3 sections

"staff" for all mods and up to talk about things and keep track of banned members etc etc...new ideas for the site, lot of stuff

"supermod and admins" superomods and up only see this section, we talk about things for the site, how its goin, more important decisions.

"admins" only admins can see this section, we talk about admin stuff...lol

Admin board~ for all upper staff
-- the Queen's Throne, for me and the other two admin

Staff Board~ for all regular staff
-- Greetings & Celebration Committee Board~ can only be seen by admin and the committee members

Misc. Board~ to throw all junk, spam and old threads~ only admin can see

KidZone Staff Board~ for our Junior Mods to discuss things with admin

Administrative forums:
1. Moderators forums: we discuss here everytihng: from the problems we have to the ways to make things better
2. Trash bin. I don't delete posts, I move them there.
3. Problem users: when an user steps on the lightbulb we open a thread and post there any other violations. It's easier for us to decide on banning afterwards.
4. Admin forums (juts for me ... to keep some info, prepare some articles ..)

Let's see, we have one forum and one forum only at the bottom of our "RCTgo Community" category, and we call it the "Secret Sanctum" ("Staff Lounge" was getting boring, so I made something more creative )

In our sanctum, we discuss what we want to be changed on the forums and on the site, updates to the site, etc. Stickied, we have some things like how to use the warning system (a how to and then percentages for each of the warning types), a thread that says all of the moderator actions, including our custom "Archive" tool, and some other things.

As all three of us are administrators, there isn't any reason to have more than one. And as we've had no reported posts other than two that were for testing only, we don't need a forum for that.

I don't know why people have a "recycling bin" of sorts. Why not just soft-delete and leave them where they are? Only staff can see deletion notices anyhow.

You could have it set up (in vb) that no one has access to the hard-delete function.

Uhm, so I guess other softwares don't have soft-delete?
