Members to see Staff forum?

Do you allow your members and guests to be able to view the Staff forum from the main page but not be able to go into the actual forum? I just had the staff forum with a password before and people complained about seeing the forum on the main page so I moved the permissions around a bit. What are your thoughts?

I think there is another thread around here about this, but to answer your question, no it's not good practice to let members see your private staff boards. I just don't see why anyone would do this, there is just no point

remember they can still see the newest topic header. so if theres a topic that they shouldn't see, they will see it.

In vbulletin you can hide it from results. Not sure about "Newest Topics"though

Mine are hidden completely, as well. I don't see why members should have the ability to view the staff forums, even if they're password protected.

If members could see the staff forums, then it wouldn't be for the staff only

I don't have them shown at all. Only my staffers know they exist
