Title: Veteran Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 920 Location: Alberta Canada ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would definitely contact them. Maybe try asking what's going on, rather then why they're not there. Something like "I was just wondering if somethings wrong, we haven't seen you around the forums lately". Something passive, you know? As long as you don't make it sound like your hounding them, but rather just asking them how things are going. Who knows, maybe something has happened with a few of them.

Just tell them that you want to touch base with them, making sure that everything's alright, etc. I wouldn't mention anything about visiting the forums at first (or they're administrative duties), because that could get them a little upset. Good luck! Chris

If they say everything's ok or try to avoid the questions then you need to be a little stern with them and tell them that they need to be active if they want to continue serving on staff, and if they're going to be away for a while then they need to let you know. That's how I would do it.

Sometimes things happen, and there's perfectly logical explanations which are usually overlooked. Just shoot 'em a quick email, or even have a chat with them over MSN.

If they don't start becoming active again, follow up with another contact...eventually, if nothing happens, you may be forced to demote them. An inactive moderator is no better than no moderator at all. There is also some good discussion on this issue in this thread

Title: Apprentice Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 431 Location: Central Ohio, USA ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've confronted one of them (the second one) over MSN, and he has really moved on from RCT3. I decided to make him a "VIMember," but is still as a staff member. I did this because I didn't want to have him as a technical staff member if he wasn't even going to visit or post or anything. The other I emailed about two weeks ago, and he visited briefly, but said nothing, so I'm going to email him again...
