Mod to member ratio?

I have two mods right now and I'm thinking of adding another but I'm not sure if I should wait untill we have more members or not. Techincally we can handle things without a problem as is, but it would be nice to have another mod to help out with basics things. Anyway, does anyone care to say how many members and how many mods they have? And do you feel you have enough, too much or not enough?

You basically need to decide whether or not your current staff can handle issues as they arive in a timely manner...If they cannot, then find more staff. If you've only got 1 moderator for a huge forum, don't worry about it unless there is too much work to be done and too little manpower to handle it.

I usually prefer to appoint certain people as mods(named them section leads) that lead their section posting content, and when need be moderate. On newer forums, i really don't think you should look at ratio's. Getting content is the priority. Bigger forums, as many mods as can keep the trouble makers at bay.
