Should Staff Earn Rep?

I was thinking about this, if you have rep enabled on your forum, do you think that staff should disable their own rep and let the users get it? Do you think the 'Admin' tag is enough to show that they are reliable??

If you can, let them decide. I think they should be able to collect rep if they want.

I've got it enabled for everyone

I guess it doesnt really matter but if i had software that would let me have rep i would have rep for the staff

The only thing what i think the staff shouldn't do if they do have rep is give themselves 2000 pips but other than that sure staff should have rep

I think it is okay to have staff have reps. I like the way Ryan and the guys have it set up here. He has it so the staff all have the same amount of rep power and it doesn't increase with the more pips they get. That way they don't feel that they can't give out pips becuase their rep power is to high.

As long as it's well-deserved, and they don't give it to themselves, I have no problem with staff members earning rep. points.

DreamSync is on a distinguished road

I think it's definitely a good idea to have rep enabled for staff. Although you want your staff to stay on indefinitely, chances are that wont happen. If their account if ever changed to a member account, they'll still have credit for all of the work that they have done.

I agree with DreamSync.

If you are naturally the most helpful member by being the founder & administrator, you will quickly rack up your "pips" and that gives your community an opportunity to show their gratitude; by affording you with their thanks and reps.
