I had to remove an Asst. Admin. and to this day we no longer speak it went down very badly I am saddened to say. But now looking back it was the best thing for my site. Less stress, less drama and everyone was glad to see him go. Sometimes you have to be tough and stick to your decisions, you may make enemies along the way but as long as you are true to yourself and are able to live with your decisions then that should be enough, it was for me.

You have got to at the very least talk to this guy and let him know how you're feeling. Let him know what must change, and let him know what will happen if it doesn't (demotion, or worse). If he doesn't change, then follow-up on your warning. Demote or ban him.

If you think he can change maybe tell him if he doesn't clean up his act he'll be demoted, and if you think he'll never change than I would demote him right off the bat. Its not fun but it must be done.
