Just demote and Perma+IP Ban. That should at least make it somewhat more difficult for him to cause an issue. He seems to have had it coming to him.... Personally, if I have to demote a staff member, because the person did whatever bad thing when he/she was in a position of trust, that means more severe punishment for sure. In light of that, demotion = automatic ban (length may vary)

A few years back I founded an anime fansubbing group. A recruited alot of people. A week before the first releases my assist. heads did coupe de tait and took the group away from me. A few weeks later an insider sent me an account with admin privileges to the new forum they had. I banned the little f***kers from their own site. :sigh: good times, good times. The moral of that story was, cover all your bases. Before you talk to him restrict his access to the Admin CP (so he can't ban your ass) and then talk to him. Tell him that you payed for everything so it is your site now, after that allow to stay as admin (but seriously powered down) or not. Also keep him on a leash for a while so you know everythings safe.

There should be no other Administrators before or After you. I once appointed four other Administrators on one of my forums and it was the worst decision I had ever made, a day in my life. Co-Administrators will ruin the community, they have no idea what it takes to run the place.

| Title: Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 51 Location: United Kingdom ![]() | Yeah, ive read this, took me a while but it is a massive problem that occurs very often. Baiscally as a previous poster said, make sure you are the top admin and he can't delete members or you or ban you, then break the news saying i am De-Moting you to Super Mod as i feel you are leaving your trusted boundries. Just be down to earth with him, and if he reacts bad to the news and threatens you, Suspend his account, but dont ban him, let him see whats happening and what hes missing out on. I've had Staff argue over Top Spots before, its not nice, But you have to be crewl to be Kind. If all else fails Email him Formally telling him that you apologise for you decision but he's banned from the site untill he contacts you again understanding his position. Hope i helped. Andy
