Unhappy Harassment by co-admin

I was part of a message board since it had started (a total of 2 years). I was co-admin of the board and helped out with everything from advertising to creating interest. I didn’t post a whole lot b/c I’ve been busy with school and such. Well, yesterday the head admin sent me a nasty PM accusing me of lying to her, using her, and getting totally ticked off b/c I’d been posting more on other sites. It made me fed up, so I deleted my account. After I did so, I kept getting IMs and e-mails from her and her members not only begging me to come back, but also telling me that I shouldn’t have left, shouldn’t have gotten upset, and that it couldn’t be helped. I’m never going back to the site, and I want nothing to do with it. I don’t know what else I can do to get the harassment to stop.

You can of course block the person on MSN/Yahoo/whatever IM you use. You could also try blacklisting the email, but it might be best to try friendlier methods first.

It sounds to me like you're better off without them and it's their loss, not yours

Just ignore them if you can because they'll soon get bored and leave you alone. Good luck.

Sorry for your troubles, I know it must be frustrating to put your time & effort in a place & then have something like that happen. Some times people online do not realise that they can really upset someone by what they say..

why not go back and just post that you are leaving. wish them all well and say that you will not be back. be positive, professional, and then walk. just walk away, block everything, and go out as a good guy without burning bridges...

I've done that and the e-mails have finally stopped coming. One thing that concerns me is the fact that members from the aforementioned forum have joined the forum I'm currently on (this one being about anime and Transformers, where the one I left was about a specific anime), and I've now had to be a watchdog of sorts to make sure they don't flame me there. -__-

It sounds like its a bit tough on ya, you did what i would have done though. If they start flaming you on the other forum, you just have to tell the admin and they will be the ones who suffer.

Sounds like you were the one who flipped out in the first place by deleting your account. Its never nice to get a nastygram, but you could probably have found a more mature method of conflict resolution.
