  | Do you give co-admin ftp access? I don't. But i think i should as he also does coding along with me. What to you think?

   | On my old site, my co-admin had FTP Access to anything above public_html.

| Yes, I give full access to my co-admin. She does a lot of work behind the scenes for me and I trust her, so there is no issue there

| Some, yes, some no...It just depends on who it is, who does the work, how large your forums are, etc.... If your forums have 20 members, you have 2 administrators, and you do all of the coding/software work, then there is no need for your second admin to have FTP access. If your forums have 5,000 members and 10 administrators, you need more than 1 admin to have FTP access, but you don't need all 10 of them to have it.

| yeh i agree those you has FTP Access wisely and ensure you 110% trust them, after all with FTP Access they will be able to bring down your site!

 | I am the only one who has FTP access on my site but have another admin. However, I do all of the coding and updates to our website. I have been making enhancements to my site so the other Admin can make changes to regular web pages via our forum admin panel. She's really liked it so far and so do I... less responsibility for me and no more access for her.

| Yes but my other admin is a friend whom I have met personally and trust. I give very few people that access.

| She doesn't have a need for it, so she doesn't have it. It'd just be another potential security hole, and something else for her to worry about keeping secure. There's really no point in giving it if it won't be used, y'know?
