Well I have 10 admins, 6 super mods and 6 mods that just do a few sections of my forum they are interested in.

I know some say I have too many but I have known most for quite a while and I am not one to turn down help.

So many admins is because of the 'troll problem' and a 'spam bot' problem I had for a while and until I recently installed a mod that allows super mods to ban, with wowbb only admins were able to do that.

Being the ultra left wing socialist I am the more people that want to help out the better. Not that there is really a lot to do but my vision for my site is a community or 'co op' type of forum.

But I am the only one with 'C Panel' access.

That is a lot of admins though!

I have two moderators and a handful of Forum Leaders.

Forum Leaders take a specific forum under their wing and they limited moderating abilities on those forums only. Most of my Forum Leaders do not stick to their own corners, though, and participate across the forum.

I have been wondering what the difference is between Super Mod and Mod, though?

Mainly the super mod is a mod for all forums where the others are just moderators for specific forums.

I use both.

The Super Mods look after the whole forum while the Assistant Mods look after certain forums that they specialise in

on my site I use a Super Mod to look after the Forums and Chat Rooms, and I have 2 groups of Moderators - 1 for chat and 1 for forums.

Then the lucky few get chance to go on to be admins

i follow the default and use both. its helpful when you want people to mod specific sections only.

I have 3 SuperMods and one Moderator but they can basically all do the same job. They're all on at different times of the day and the Moderator is more looking into the new members and checking to make sure they all know the Rules & Regs.

I don't see a huge difference in either job. For some forums where there is next to no problems at all, I don't see the need to have 1-2 different mods for every forum you have.. Universal mods are more effective (imo) for smaller boards..

I pretty much use Super Moderators with the exception of two or three people who help out my my news and artwork forums.

You have too many Administrators. There should only be one, two at the max and only if the second Administrator has bought 50% of the community.
