I feel for you. I have had some nightmare experiences myself with cyberstalkers.
It's surprising how disconcerting such a thing can be.

My only advice is: reveal as little personal information as possible.
You might want to think twice about giving out a real surname, phone number or even skype ID.
People who may seem just great during the initial phase of an Internet relationship -could turn on you like a Dog in the end. It's hard to shake a stalker when you have an established presence on the net, or indeed run your own sites.

I actually closed a site and started another from scratch to elude an especially disturbing individual who seemed to have dedicated her life to slandering me all over cyberspace.

I learned from my indiscretions. I am sure you will also exercise discretion in the future.

It bets me why they do it.

Thats what i did restarted again. Its nice when your members support you.

I have one member that stuck by me through everything, and I can tell you that one person made all the difference in the whole affair.

Now I make and effort to actively speak to other military forum owners and we are slowing building a some network exchanging information to safe guard our sites.

This is my peace of mind. I even got a friend to trace my details to see the information he can gather. Now i am, informed of the information out there on me its good.

I think not knowing and having the fear is disempowering.

I turned it around and stalkered that individaul and run him into the ground, at one stage he even pretended to be dead.

Now I have no real worries because I know how to fight back.

And I think that all site holders have a support network, kinda like a union to help with crazys out there.

Situations like this are part of the reason why I am staying away from partnering up with someone on any of the sites I own.

God... well i can count my lucky charms that none of my high level staff have ever gone all psycho after reading what you guys have all gone through! Ive had lower level management go nuts - but they didnt have access to cause any real trouble... so, touch wood, hopefully it wont happen to me anytime soon
