What are some funny things you have to do to get your admins to agree with you on changing a forum setting?

Here's what I did... My co-admin wanted 20 posts as the maximum posts per page thread thing. I said I wanted 10, because it was originally five. He said no, so I decided to get "Funny", and repeat 10, over and over in AIM, to whatever he said, until he said fine. I even went as far as backing up, and turning the database off. He said turn it back on, I said fifteen, his response?

Ugh..fine

I turned it back on, and that was set.

Why would you turn the DB off? Sounds childish to me, in any case a user can choose how many posts they want to view per page!

Nah, it was meant to be a total joke. And we decided to do that.

Plus, our forum isn't based democratically. It's a republican forum. The forum leaders make the choices. The users have no authority!

(I found that funny saying, but you may have not. I have a sick sense of humor. )

Why would something like that matter? Users can set their own thread page length anyways (in vB at least).

I don't "get" my co-admins to agree with me, we discuss the pros/cons for each decision and decide what's best from there

At the time when no one is on. Hmm. Also, to anger FalconClaw. We always have power wars, but it's pretty fun. Plus, we usually make decisions together that the users will like. Aendy gave a bunch of suggestions, and most of them we liked, so we used them. We try to be organized. We try to let people get away with stupid things like spamming, but sometimes it goes too far. We made a spam thread of that. We also have a couple of other forums in the suggestions area of the forums (which are hidden from guests.) We take each suggestion into consideration, and then if the users like it, we add it.

So, honestly, everything I said before, was a total un-funny joke.

All that sounds childish to me!
