| Title: Apprentice Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 280 Location: Stretton, Derbyshire, UK ![]() | I have an odd outlook on things so what some find spammage on a site or irritating I generally find funny ... I like to toy with people who come to my site and spam and have been known to send them "crying" never to be seen again... serious moderation, well I'm all for people being able to express themselves without fear of censorship, but there has to be a line drawn as to what is acceptable and what isn't. I usually make sure I have a little area called the Boxing Ring or something where I send members too if they start getting overly nasty with each other. What that entails is the two (or however many) members who are involved in the flame war, for example, get restricted to this one forum and receive a pm explaining that until they've thrashed out their differences with the other people involved then they will not be able to participate in any other area on the site.... it's amazing how quickly people become reasonable

As in the past, members have been warned if they become offensive. I don't particularly mind spamming as long as it's within the desginated threads. I'm not too tough on members as I believe that people should have the freedom of speech.

@ members who own a forum do you class a "LOL" as spam or a smiley for a reply to a post?.
