Transfer posts from SMF to vBulletin?

Hi, anyone knows, is it possible to transfer posts from SMF to vBulletin? If I build a forum in SMF, get 100 posts there and then I decide to buy Vbulletin script...and move posts from SMF there?

It's definitely possible. What you need to look for is a converter. I think you need access to the vB's member area.

Here's a tutorial:

Wow, OK, I admit I didn't expect it's possible.

Now next: I saw an "anti copy-paste" feature in one phpBB forum. You can't copy or paste anything from or in your post in that forum. This feature exists also in SMF? Or in vB?

Whoa, hold on. That sounds like a bad idea. It would make things like quoting people extremely annoying, and I'd highly advise against it.

But... if you really want to do it, just disable the right click. There are a lot of JavaScripts that can let you do that.

Quoting in that forum works OK. But copy and paste features are disabled.

It is annoying.

But if I'm admin, I can use such protected forum posts for revealing my article writing examples.
I write articles, people are asking for examples, I don't want that someone then just grab my article when I show it to him. I know it's a lousy protection but still, it's at least interesting.
