Mods you use

Here you can name some mods you use on your SMF forum. Don't forget to tell us what they do.

There are tons of good mods, here are a few I use which I think are a bit above the others.

SMFShop
Well, it's a shop mod for SMF...

SMF Arcade
This one has had some trouble in the past, but it works great now

. It has plenty of great games to keep your members happy (sadly, no one has merged this with the shop mod).

Custom Profile Field
This is an amazing mod. It allows you to create custom profile fields which can be displayed as optional or required fields on registration. Good for a make-shift referral mod

Custom Action Mod
Another great mod, this one will let you create custom static pages in HTML, PHP or BBCode. You assign an action to each page, like "?action=custompage".

SMF Trader System
Just like the vB trader rating system

omg i gotta get some of those lol, i just converted to smf 1.1 rc3 from yabb, im liking it and im gonna get those mods, my SAT II is this saturday, after thats done, that night, im gonna NOT party and then install some mods

SKETCHI, where do you get your smf mods from, i looked over the smf site mods place thingie, and didnt see any of those, i was thinking of adding an arcade, since it is a gamers forum lol

I have to say thanks, as well, for the links. I'm considering changing to SMF from MyBB. I'm going to test it out over the weekend. I'm hoping I would be able to convert my database, but, eh, we'll see.

You should have no problem converting. I would suggest setting up a second board in a sub directory to try it out before you make the big move.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm going to test it out this weekend and see how it goes. I'm just pleased with the vast options for (significant) modifications, much more than MyBB, and the ability to integrate with Joomla. Not enough (significant) mods with MyBB out there. No available Joomla bridge for MyBB. Hope skinning isn't too hard.

So, I'll just have to see how it goes.
