  | Mod Help! Whoo-hoo! I fixed it! For anyone who's wondering, all I did was fix the CHMODing for all of the folders, then I deleted the package and tried again, and it worked! OK, I've been trying to install a package for SMF (custom profile field). Anyway, it refuses to let me install the package. It says that some of the folders and files inside aren't writable. Oddly enough, I set everything in the directory (even some of the files I know that shouldn't be writable) to 777. I even tried resetting the file permissions, but I still get the exact same error. By the way, I'm running SMF 1.1.2 and here's the message: Quote:

| I remember having the same problem myself, and it was something very simple... I just can't for the life of me remember it XD Try checking the packages path, I had a lot of problems entering invalid targets in the SMF fields when trying to install things

   | Create a directory in the Packages Directory called "temp" (without quotes) and CHMOD that to 777 and then try. -AwwLilMaggie

| Go to package manager and then look for "options" click it and you should see a feature to modify permissions!
