When deciding upon the highlight of Webmaster Tips & Tricks, there was no doubt in our minds that it was the design. Not too long ago, Wtricks ran on the phpBB software with a fabulous design. Today, on vBulletin, is no different. The forums are riddled with custom icons. The logo is very unique and the sidebar navigation elements really add some life to the design. You can even find custom graphics in the posts themselves! The colors are perfect for a webmaster community and are very easy on the eyes. One of our staff commented on the blue's ability to "dance and pop with the layout." Don't ask me what that means!

Next on our list of highlights at Webmaster Tips & Tricks is the modification. As already discussed, the design is heavily modified, but it doesn't stop there. At Wtricks you will find a store with a points system, a directory, who's visited today, who's registered today, custom rules page, a welcome message, and more. This is the kind of stuff that webmasters particularly will be on the lookout for. With the wonderful design and extensive modification, there is no doubt in our minds that much work and effort has been put into Wtricks.

This is not to let us lose sight of the extensive articles database to be found at Wtricks. In the sidebar you will find links to 50+ original articles written by dojo herself. This collection of articles is invaluable and something that many forums these days fail to acknowledge. Close by you will also find a large amount of tutorials and interviews to read also. In addition to the articles, interviews, and tutorials, you will also find many people at Wtricks with a wealth of knowledge on being a webmaster. Dojo, the forum owner, runs nearly 10 forums herself! Many webmaster forums are littered with poor advice and short responses, but we were shocked to see very lengthy posts at Wtricks. Not only do you love this as the end user, but search engines will eat it up too! Again, something that quite a few forums today fail to achieve.

So where does all of this great content come from, you ask? The members (and staff )! Wtricks has been in existence for nearly a year and a half and has seemingly seen a steady stream of posts since day 1. At nearly 19,000 posts with 30 members logging in each day (nearly 20% active!), there is a solid active user base. Most of the forums also have more than 1,000 posts, which is very attractive as a guest. There is currently a contest running at Wtricks which tends to be a good sign of a healthy or growing forum. Another great indicator of activity is the number of unanswered threads found in the forums, which you will find very few of at Webmaster Tips & Tricks.
