Final Thoughts (majority opinion of the AdminFusion staff):

Winning the largest Forum of the Month competition to date, My Parent Connection must be something special, and indeed it is. My Parent Connection is a great place for both mothers and fathers to get together, share tips, and chat about parenting. Babies don't come with instructions, so MPC is here to make sure that you are fully equipped and ready for anything!

As with most parenting forums, there is more personal interaction with other members than seen in most forums. In order to make these interactions enjoyable, you need a solid staff to be the best in this category. From the Community Liason to the Administrators to the Greeting & Celebration Coordinator, My Parent Connection has that pleasant environment covered. This staff is extremely active, offering friendly and helpful information - we couldn't find a single new member who was not welcomed by the staff! As one of the AF staffers put it, the MPC staff is "freakishly friendly".

So what do all of these parents talk about, you ask? Adult stuff! Mixed throughout the forums you will find an abundance of tasty recipes, intelligent feedback from one parent to another, articles from gun safety to baby showers, and even your daily banter (be sure to check out the Resources section). They cover all of the invaluable information you could think of that parents would want to read. Everything is very genuine as well, including the love for their families, shown in the colorful and animate signatures.

As far as the members themselves, they are some of the most active that we have come across. Of the 100 or so total members, an incredible 60% of them are active with ~30 logging in every day! We always make it a point to see how many posts are made daily and were once again impressed to see that the "Today's Posts" search resulted in 2 pages from only 100 total members. This can only mean one thing, and that is that the community is very strong and enjoyable. It might take time for My Parent Connection to gain a large number of members, but those who do register do so with a bang!

Now on to the wonderful design - a design which is customized down to the forum icons. This design is nice because it appeals to mothers, but at the same time is not a turn off to fathers. We described it using many words...soft, inviting, clean, and appropriate! One of our guys even says the the design is the best feature of My Parent Connection. I bet you didn't even notice the Adsense blended into the front page and forums, did you? To accompany the design, MPC comes packed with all sorts of modifications and other goodies to keep the members at bay. Articles, blogs, arcade games, a picture of the day, and a portal are just some of the modifications that you will find, in addition to all of the smaller, minor modifications here and there to really set the forums apart from others.

Great job, FLMom and the staff at My Parent Connection. There are many parenting forums out there; many of them miss the target, but MPC certainly does not!
