The competition for Forum of the Month this month has arguably been the toughest competition we have seen thus far. We would love to give more than one award out this month, but we just couldn't do that, so we strongly encourage those of you who were nominated this month to submit again in 3 months, as most of your forums are definitely strong enough to win the title.

Enough about all the other forums...let's talk about our winner!

Without further ado, the award this month goes to TrumpetMaster. TrumpetMaster is not only a forum for musicians but specifically for trumpet players. Music is a common thread to all humanity, but pursuing just one winded instrument gives this forum an edge in the music forum industry. Needless to say, we were impressed with the niche. It's not only the niche that impressed us but also what TrumpetMaster has done with that niche. TM is a community which has held strong over an impressive 3-4 years with well over 100,000 posts now. This is hard for any forum to do, particularly one in a tight niche.

The discussion ranges from metronomes to artists to styles to what you ate for breakfast. Aside from the common chit chat, when the conversation turns serious, the content is not held back. There are endless masters of the trade who are ready, willing, and able to offer their advice ranging from which mouthpiece to get, to which vendor sells the best vintage horns.

Another thing that makes this forum unique is that it doesn't just stop at discussion on trumpets. If the traditional post and wait on a reply does not suit your needs, you are given the option to participate in live chat with other trumpet enthusiasts. You'll also find Classifieds where you can buy or sell your own trumpets and accessories. They even have an Employment section where you can find a job as a trumpeter!

Congratulations to TrumpetMaster! We really do mean it when we say that you were up against the toughest competition we've seen thus far.
