My Parent Connection is a community for parents and those wishing to be parents. We offer tons of articles, resources, recipes, blogs, arcade games, message boards, support and friendship!

It is hard to determine what is best about My Parent Connection because it does so many things well. From the design to content to staff friendliness, MPC does it all. Not to mention it is only the second forum to win Forum of the Month twice. You can view the first spotlight thread for MPC here. Much of what was said then still lies true today.

We'll start with what the AF staff feels is the strongest point of MPC - the staff. The MPC staff is among the friendliest you'll ever see. Cori is among the friendliest and most-liked members we have had here at AF and the same is true at her forums. She and her staff give great responses to any posts made in the forums. They welcome all the new members with friendly greetings.

Parenting forums may not be the newest idea out there, but Cori certainly puts a unique twist on the niche. The different sections such as Fitness & Health, Money Matters, and Military Parents illustrate that MPC is truly open to all parents. MPC also features contests and member awards to further the community feel. All these unique features seem to be working, as MPC boasts numbers of nearly 150,000 posts and 700+ members in nearly a year and a half.

The content is another strong point of MPC. The members are both extremely active and friendly, always ready to help a parent in need. In addition to the great content generated by the members, MPC features many articles and other resources. And article topics range all the way from babies to teenagers. There are also many topics where members exchange ideas and advice. All of this provides great content for current and soon-to-be parents, both mothers and fathers. To house all these great articles and features, MPC has a very appropriate design. It has a great community feel to it complete with custom graphics. The staff especially liked the animated images in the navigation bar and custom forum icons. To top it all off, MPC offers an arcade, a chatroom, and a store among other things.
