Easy now, don't put words in my mouth.

I don't deny global warming; I do however believe its taken far out of context. Do we have an effect on the globe? Yes. Is the only reason that the world is heating because of us? Nope.

Now if you seriously think that the only reason the world is heating is humans (and particularly americans with cars) you've got some sort of hatred that I can't help you with.

I'm all for saving the environment REALISTICALLY, but using certain things as scapegoats is wrong to me.

Then, please, by all means tell me what is heating up the planet.

This will be interesting..

I don't need to say whats heating it up.

There was an earth before humans, correct?
So why would the earth have such high C02 & Temperature when we weren't here to mess it up. It's because the earth goes through natural cycles.

Explain why we wouldn't be getting warmer?

Rocket 442: Those figures you show only go up to 1950, If you were to look at 1950> , you'll see larger growth in world temperatures and CO2 emissions. Yes, this is cyclical, but the cycle is getting way out of control.

I know it only goes to 1950, it says it right on the graph.

50 years is not that long in terms of what we're looking at, and it can't be a reasonable measurement to decide if our earth is going to cause mass extinctions and all that stuff everyone's talking about.

zk0 wanted a reason why the earth is heating up, I gave him/her one, and its just the cycle of the earth. Sure, we aren't helping the earth when it comes to this, but it's not just us. Unless of course 350,000 years ago there were people with old Cadillacs trying to destroy the environment as well.

Back to that strangle looking silly car. I doubt we will see it on the road any time soon. My opinion is it will either be stopped by the gas companies, or shelved for some safely issues (also pushed by the gas and car companies) and will not be available for a long time.

LOL, not even Exxon is trying to prove GW wrong with that graph anymore.. It's pointless, give up and realise that the current climate change is man-made and will have deadly consequences for the human race.
