First I will start by explaining what an Advisor is. An Advisor is a member at AdminFusion who has been chosen as an honorable, reputable, and intelligent forum owner. Advisors are not on the staff at AdminFusion, they are merely being recognized for their contribution to AdminFusion and prestige in the forum world. In order to distinguish Advisors, they are given an Advisor badge and their names are colored orange. Up until now, Advisors have been automatically promoted based on 3 things: post count, time since registration, and reputation. While these 3 things tend to be good indicators of good standing at AdminFusion, they cannot determine how reputable or experienced members are with forums. Because of this, we are abandoning the automatic promotion and instead hand picking Advisors. From here on out, our staff members (AF Administrators and Moderators) will be looking for exceptional members in the forums, but only those of Senior status. When a staff member sees a Senior who he/she thinks is Advisor material, this person will be nominated in a staff forum. There we will discuss the promotion and vote yes or no. If the person receives 75% yes's, he/she is promoted to Advisor. *Also*, note that we do have the right to demote any Advisors if we find it necessary...This could be due to behavior at AF, behavior outside of AF, or inactivity at AF. You should not be concerned if you are an Advisor and go on vacation for a week or even a month for that matter...but if we do notice significant inactivity for 6 months or more, you risk being demoted to Senior status. If you have any questions or concerns about this, let us know. Our hope is that this improves the current system and makes the position that much more prestigious
