Maybe it's just me, but I don't like Adminfusion as much as I used to and I find myself spending less time here then before. I guess it's changed somewhat with the change of ownership. No offence intended to the new guys in charge but I don't like the vibe around here any more. At least not as much as I used to like the vibe around here. Now, it might be linked to the passion people feel over the new look more than anything else, but I've never witnessed fighting between members like what I saw between FlashGear and some others in the New Skin thread. Not cool and the staff didn't do anything to resolve it.

Maybe I'm just clutching at straws here, but I never saw that kind of aggression or argument under Ryan & Lee. Why? Maybe they got more respect on account of starting and bulding the place. Maybe they were better at handling disputes and resolving them. Maybe I'm just talking shit.

I'm posting much less and spending much less time here. Don't get me wrong, I have not 'replaced' AF with another webmaster forum, I just don't get this place anymore.

this is one thing I do agree with you on. It seems that the moderators have been slow to address some "flare ups" between members. Not just the one you mention above, but a few others also.

This is not directed at any one person, not Azh not to flashgear, not to joelton, just to everyone in general.

how i run things is this. If people want to cry and fight about the skin and carry on about how outrageous everything else is, they can. I do not censor things here. The people who flame and carry on have every right to do so. If they bring up valid points then the community can see that and the administration can take notice of it etc. If they are just being dicks, then the community will see that too. The people who do this wear themselves down and lose credibility with the community. My job here is not to babysit and moderate every disagreement that everyone has. The only thing that i will not tolerate is insulting other members. If you don't have an argument to stand on and you only solution is to attack them as a person, then you don't get that as an option. My job as i see it, is to build this forum up with helpful relevant content, deliver traffic, and make it accessible and easy to use to everyone.

I think Flashgear or Joelton said something the other day about they didn't get flamed or get negative repped as much as when ryan owned the site. Did you guys complain so much when he was in charge? Did he go through and monitor everyones account and remove reputation points etc? Your actions affect your reputation points. And yes some people abuse the reputation system, but it has its own checks and balances so that it does not get out of control. What i would say is, maybe if everyone is giving you negative rep about stuff, you should review your own actions and see if there is something that maybe you did to make this happen. Not blame the new owner or everyone else.

After the skin was laid out, I saw valid helpful points by everyone and the ones that could be implemented got implemented. I thought it was pretty crappy that so many people complained about the skin prior to even seeing it. But ya know what, Whatever.

The color of the skin is not going to change at this point. It is going to be white with blue on the background. I hear you guys say that it burns your eyes, but honestly, google is totally white, yahoo is totally white, microsoft word is just a white blank screen. most news sites are solid white. This is not a new concept designed by me. This is commonplace. The old skin was just that, old. It was very dark, and too small in my opinion. This lighter skin is more open, more welcoming and not so harsh.

The new skin is hot, it is well designed, well coded, and contrary to what everyone thinks, it is now making money and brining in visitors. The old skin generated less that $0.50 per day in google revenue, we now get $7.50 per day. Which isn't a lot, but it is 1500% more profitable now than it was.

This nonsense on here with these cliques etc is going to stop. It makes new people not feel welcome and it is stupid. This thing where some people support the old regime and some people support the new regime and whatever else has to end. Ryan and Lee did a great job getting it to where it was, now I am taking it to the next level. No amount of complaining and lamenting and nostalgia about how things used to be is going to bring ryan and lee back or change the skin or whatever else. Honestly, and i mean as honestly as i can be on any level, If all you want to do is complain that shit is no longer the way it was, then leave. Just leave. We don't need a diatribe on why you are leaving, and we don't need to know where you went, and no one needs a forwarding address. The glory of the web is, that for every jerk that leaves the forum, 5 new people that are helpful and nice come in. Like grow up and pretend to be an adult.

So.... I guess what i am saying is, if this site is that bad for you, and you cannot live without ryan and lee, and this skin is too bright, if you cannot stand me, the way i run things, if boardbrawl is too intense for you, if things are happeneing too fast, then just leave. No one wants to hear you complaining about stuff that cannot and will not be changed. If however you want to be helpful and constructive and want to benefit the same way everyone else will here, then do so and grow with the community and we will all be better off.

I'm sure they'd be all ears if it was constructive criticisms. All some people are doing is bitching and complaining about the changes. I think laf's post was pretty on point honestly.

And im not kissing ass either. I don't really care what anyone's opinion of me is, in the grand scheme of things I'm a nobody......but i'll tell it how it is.

Without sounding like a suck up, I really like the new skin. Sure it took time to get used to it, but overall this skin does NOT hurt my eyes, it's actually easier on my eyes. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the Post Fusion Spotlight at the top of the page, but it's nothing that I am going to lose sleep over lol Overall I think you guys are doing good. I like Ryan and Lee very much but sometimes change is good I look forward to seeing what becomes of AF
