| On a whole, forums do not perform well in the CPC arena. They are more suited for the CPM arena. That is why a lot of smaller forums use Adsense, haven't experienced it yet

| I have found for myself Adsense isn't good for forums. I find selling my adspace myself gets more money, and I make more money from the clicksor ads shown around 16% of the time than I did with Adsense 100% of the time. | ||||

I love it how people say the forums don't perfom well in the CPC arena, they do if you know how to optimize the ads. Adminfusion makes more with their own ads, I'm sure, but when AF is a lot bigger, perhaps they should try adsense. | |||||

| adsense is not working well for me, so i might as well take the ads off and sell me some ad space on my forum. i reckon that will work better with my forums size but first i need to get some traffic.  | ||||

Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 10,246 Location: Athens, GA | I dont think that adsense works any better with larger forums than it does small forums...Forums just have a very low CTR, so the click campaigns dont seem to get very far. Now, you can manipulate the ads in all sorts of ways and place them as close as possible to buttons and what not...but not only is that unethical, but it is against Adsense policies. On top of that, I like how banner ads and text links look over Adsense - Adsense looks trashy if I must say so myself.
