I just noticed my custom title was "Senior" member and that the custom titles were not customized. Customizing the user title/ranks is a small park to make the forum feel more customized. Thought of adding custom user titles forum/website related? I have the "Senior" title, this contradicts the "Senior" tag you get when you reach the requirements to be promoted to that usergroup.

Speaking of titles, how do you get a custom title? Do Supports get a custom title?

The titles actually are customized...if you are referring to custom as being *non* default vB titles. They do, however, need reworking as the highest title we have can be achieved at 500 posts...which is probably a bit too low for our size.

As of now we don't allow any of our members the option to create their own title, but maybe it is something that we could give to Supporters?

Atleast that's how I would do it. Can't really think of any more.

I would think after 1000 posts you could give them the custom title option, unless that is something you wanted to restrict to supporters like you mentioned.

I don't really like the thought of allowing custom titles after 1,000 because that would mean another group...and I don't feel like creating another group just to grant custom titles.

I'm not a fan of "Forum Owner", "Forum God", and "Big-Board"

We're all forum owners here, so the title "Forum Owner" doesn't really mean a lot. I try to keep politically correct to a certain extent, so I would rather not use "Forum God" as it may set some people back...and "Big-Board" is very misleading. When most people think big-board, they think of www.big-boards.com...so if we were to assign the "Big-Board" title to anybody reaching a certain post count, people would definitely get confused thinking that it means they own a "big-board"

Too many titles IMO.

Yeah, that list could be trimmed down a bit. Although, it just looks like a lot of titles when you list them there....when they are actually being used, you would never notice.
