ad revenue sharing?

what do you guys think of something like what digital point does? i saw a plugin for this on vbulletin.org before. just want to get your feedback for doing something like that here

Couldn't hurt I suppose. I guess the real question is would it really help increase topics and registrations?

I have over 1,000 posts at DigitalPoint and have only made $1.94 from their revenue sharing, all time. If you can pay the members more than they get paid at DP while still making it worthwhile for yourself, then it may be worth doing...but using the formula that DP uses, I'm like Bama, I don't think it's worth it.

yea i don't think it is going to make anyone a internet millionaire. Was just tossing the idea around

Well, I don't think it would necessarily hurt to offer it. The only downsides I see are:

1) Maintenance (another mod to worry about)
2) Money out of your pocket, of course
3) If payouts are low, members might complain

That stuff is all pretty minor though...Basically, I think that revenue sharing would help a little bit, but not really enough to notice.
