Exclamation Win a Free WowClassic License and Custom Skin!

AdminFusion and WowClassic have teamed up to deliver an easy Contest for AF Members with a prize package valued at $239! We hope you participate in and enjoy Your Dream Feature Contest.

What do AdminFusion and WowClassic have in common? They both religiously service forum website owners, and both focus on delivering great value.

HOW TO ENTER: Write about your "dream feature" - one that you would love on your forum website. What kind of feature do you really wish would come out, and that can, one day? Not something crazy or impossible, but reasonable and doable. In addition to giving us ideas, that gets your name in the hat! Your name can only go in the hat once. We then pick a winner randomly from those entries.

THE PRIZE: A free lifetime license of WowClassic forum software, valued at $99, which includes free, great support 7 days a week. You also get a free custom theme valued at $140!

THE TIMEFRAME: This Contest thread will be locked February 29th, Leap Day, so someone can "leap" into the rest of the year with a new free forum with great software, service, and a custom theme. On February 29th, no more entries will be accepted. The winner will be announced within 48 hours.

What is WowClassic?

WowClassic is an authorized, constantly expanding customization of the WowBB 1.7 software. WowClassic is copyright © 2007-2008 by Nancy Chandler and is distributed by WowClassicbb.com exclusively. It's brought to you by the owner of WowBB's most successful theme and mod shop, the WowBB Theme Mall. You'll find the service and quality to be the best. That is exactly why this "new kid on the block" is off to a truly great start. All minor updates are free and there will be a nominal fee for Major updates should you choose to upgrade.

Please post your entry in this thread. We look forward to reading them and announcing the winner. Good luck!

- Eric

You know I would really love a feature for contests. One where you could integrate with paypal so you can start a contest and have the site grab the winner and either paypal the person or at least alert the admin and member of the winner. Some examples would be:

I could say the member with the most referrals from Feb 1st to March 1st will receive $50 and the site will wait and on March first it would post the winner in a forum I chose and paypal the person.

I could start a contest of the person with the most threads started between Feb 15th and Feb 30th and it would be managed by the add on.

This woudl be my dream add on because I run a lot of contests and have trouble remembering them and when to end them I lose track of time a lot.

I am currently using PHPBB3 and my forum is young, and I am trying to grow my content to spur more discussion and have a greater amount of content for visitors to my site to read and respond to. I do not have unlimited hours to write articles and post on other forums and get new visitors all at the same time. I have searched for a feature that takes RSS Feeds for PHPBB3 and automatically parses them into posts...
The feature would allow me to create a number of different "user accounts" that would serve as the poster of the automated content and associate particular RSS feeds to each, and in turn assign certain RSS feeds to particular Forums within the board to keep it from being an obvious bot posting messages at every 35 minutes on the hour...

I know there are some similar types of applications, but none of them (that i've found) seem to have this flexibility. I also don't want something that takes keywords from Yahoo answers or something and places them into posts. I am looking for specifically targeted RSS content and the agility to do as described above.

A Contest feature built into the forum software, and the ability to convert RSS feeds into posts. Great ideas/dream mods so far! Keep the entries coming. Nine days left at the time of this post.

Just the same as wowbb but with mods. But most other forum software has those mods anyway.

More glitz and glamour than wowbb basically.

Hi Canadian! It's more than that, but I understand what you mean. Besides having some unique features you are getting the best service. More unique features are coming - keep in mind it's also the upgrade/development path you get. So it is true that WowClassic is basically, currently, Wowbb with more features ... I just wanted to clarify that you also get the upcoming upgrades, support for all features (wowbb doesn't support any modifications to their basic software), and what I believe anyone would assess as the fastest, friendliest, best service that happens to be from the most successful provider of wowbb themes and mods all things considered (i.e. the support for the ever-expanding features and services).

It's on its own path, its own product now. Every month and year that passes it will be and look much different than wowbb and get serviced differently. It already does. We already had one serious upgrade after being open for just 5 weeks and any day/week now another upgrade will appear.

A mod i would love is one that when you post allows you to choose between your admin account or your 'member' account. So you can make announcements as Admin but when you post its 'name' and you can assign it to different boards e.g announcement board automatically posts as admin, and general and other boards is normal user unless specified above post button where it says 'you are currently posting as Member' then next to it 'would you like to change this?'

I would like to have a superhack, created by a uber-leet coder, that would be a fullt functional openid for all major forum platforms.

you could install this plugin or hack on your vb,phpbb, ipb, yada yada yada board and let everyone who would participate in the openid program join your board and others instantly.

the possibilities are endless
