Well I have been looking at free software for my new Indian forum. And well I need a proffesional looking software, like VB and IPB but free, these are the ones I looked at:

SMF - Already use it, its good

phpBB - Annoyed with it

MyBB - Friend told me you have to refresh alot, and doesn't look as smooth

XennoBB - I found this one and I am shocked at how nice it looks and the features of it, but it is growing, but hasn't got as many features as SMF and stuff.

Any other software I should try, and any advise for the ones above?

I think you're best off with SMF . I haven't found any other free software nearly as good as it.

I am using phpBB and cannot use myBB or SMF. I tested them and I am displeased with the way they handle the template system. And since I worked on phpBB so many years I'm fast and know what to do with it.

Refresh a lot for what? And if you retheme it using their really easy to use theming system, you can make it look how you want it to look - or import one of the themes from MyBB Mods and such. MyBB has tons more features than the other ones you've looked at - especially the plugin system, which lets you install modifications to your forum with the click of a button...

Yes but it doesn't have like an arcade and membermap, blog system etc. I couldn't find any anyway. Like the points system isn't for the latest version, so wasn't happy
