IPB to MyBB converter?

| IPB to MyBB converter? I have to say, that IPB is a bit too advanced for me. I can never find anything. I might switch back to it later on, but for now, I am looking to change. Does anyone here to an IPB to MyBB converter? I am using this for Talk Firefox.  Edit: And does it work with Beta 2.2? Edit again  : If there even is one.

Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 1,518   | Well, first of all, you may want to upgrade to the latest, stable version of IPB (if you're license has not expired). Also, seeing as you don't have a large member base, nor a large post base, you may want to consider a "fresh install" of MyBB. In other words, remove IPB, the database, and the database user, and install a copy of MyBB. Also, even if you did upgrade to the latest version of IPB, I do not believe that there is an IPB to MyBB convertor available. Chris | ||||

Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 431 Location: Central Ohio, USA | We are currently finishing up Official Converters for MyBB, which will include IPB. We hope to have them out as soon as possible, after we test them, of course. If there's a IPB to phpBB converter, you can do that, and then convert from phpBB to MyBB - that's the best I can suggest for now. There is a user-created phpBB2 to MyBB 1.2 converter available, just no IPB one yet - until we finish the official ones. (and I must say, having used the new converters myself, they are quite nice... you can see a brief overview of them at SurfiOnline) | ||||
