Joomla! or MyBB Portal

Ok so at the moment I have Joomla! as my homepage where news it posted etc.

But I was thinking about having the MyBB Portal (http://njunkies.ulmb.com/forum/portal.php) as the homepage instead so all news posted would automatically get posted on the portal and it would oviously be integrated into the forum.

What would you guys have, Joomla! or the MyBB portal?

Thanks

Well, each of them have their own pro's and con's. For example, the MyBB portal is built in from the start, and is also very basic. Joomla, on the other hand, is much more feature-rich, but also a little more complicated. Then again, the MyBB portal would automatically update with the latest posts, news, etc.

Just to save you the hassle of manually adding news, I would use the MyBB portal, and also try to customize it as much as possible.

Transfer all of the files over to the root directory, and then simply edit the config file so it points to the correct URL.

Correct, and then you need to edit the URL in the config file.

No problem, and good luck! The process is very, very simple; you'll do fine.
