Hiya,

Yep.

I want to program a new section to the site, create my own gallery for instance if I dont want to pay for the one offered by invision. In these new pages I would like users to contribute, but as they post images I would like to identifiy them.

What I am really asking is, how do I write a login script for a new application to validate users agains the passwords and usernames that origionaly exist in my invision.

What does IPB use for hashing? Does it use a salt? Which tables and table entries do I need and what are the session variables I need to pay attention to.

Thanks,

CC.

IPB SDK will fit your needs, it has prewriten login scripts with it amongst other things. It is still in beta for 2.1 and a 2.2 version hasn't been started yet.
