Code add on for IPB, how to validate against users / passwords already registerd?

Hey.

Can anyone let me know how to validate against the IPB database? Anyone done this? I would like to program add ons to my service.

Hiya,

Yep.

I want to program a new section to the site, create my own gallery for instance if I dont want to pay for the one offered by invision. In these new pages I would like users to contribute, but as they post images I would like to identifiy them.

What I am really asking is, how do I write a login script for a new application to validate users agains the passwords and usernames that origionaly exist in my invision.

What does IPB use for hashing? Does it use a salt? Which tables and table entries do I need and what are the session variables I need to pay attention to.

IPB SDK will fit your needs, it has prewriten login scripts with it amongst other things. It is still in beta for 2.1 and a 2.2 version hasn't been started yet.

IPB SDK, now that exactly what I wanted.
