Personally, I'd say stay away from SMF. Switching from SMF to vB is a pain in the butt!

vBulletin is my favorite also. Lots of features and I figure if you're going to try to make a success you should invest in a paid software.

Perhaps Jelsoft should improve their clearly lacking convertor / password checking routine

SMF for me.

Eh? So because someone evaluates that vB offers them nothing (well less technically in my case) over a free software, they shouldn't run a forum?
