Install PHP 5 Apache MySQL on Windows : WampServer WampServer is an open source project, free to use (GPL licence). I use it on my PC as a test type server to test applications and other software before putting them on my site in a live environment.  | ||||

It would in fact make testing and development a lot easier, although true developers probably laugh at this, because I'm sure they have real server environments at home  (*cough* Larry)

| WAMP is awesome and works very well. The only drawback I have run across is the root directory issue especially if you are testing several pieces of software (vBulletin, vbPortal, PhotoPost) and then several different varieties of websites. Just my .02psi

| On a related note, for those of you with S60v3 phones, you can now have the power of WAMP on your cell phone... PAMP - Personal Apache, MySQL and PHP Not sure exactly why you'd need that as most cell phones don't have nearly enough memory for such things, but it's still an interesting addition to the ever-increasing pool of web tools for your phone (other available tools include Python, Perl and PuTTY).
