Question Question about buying & downloading software from the Web?

Hello,

I see the convenience in downloading the software just after buying it, but what if something happens, like what if the computer's hard drive breaks down. I'd then have to re-buy it. Any legal way of backing it up so I don't have to re-buy it?

Just back it up if you use gmail or something - Email it to yourself. If you don't use gmail just save it to a memory pen or something that should work.

A lot of companies will help you out if you have already payed for the software so you dont have to pay for it again in the case of losing in installation files and stuff like that.

You should back up your software in an external hard drive.

I back up all my stuff on an external HDD. It's the best way. But if that fails then I will lose everything. Maybe add in online backup as well.

Just back up the install file to a CD or DVD. And - keep your paypal receipt. I have had to contact companies because I lost the installer file, and all of them send me a new download. But that was after I verified my paypal receipt and information.

A lot of the games I play, they are bought off the internet through a program called Steam. When you deal with a professional company, you dont have anything to worry about.

I have a Question regarding this Discussion.

I have been using An anti virus from last 7 months and it working and giving me all the protection from the virus.I downloaded it from a site for FREE.
Few days ago my friend brought an anti virus from UK.It was happy that at last i have got a licensed copy of Anti Virus. As i installed it , it destroyed all the computer files and my windows.

Wasn't the Free version fine.
