If you know anything about how the board software works (which i believe all admins SHOULD about their boards), then you won't have any problems. If something doesn't work automatically with easymod, you can easily change it that it does.

As i said, i'm not comparing it, as i haven't used vB, but there are a lot of untruths out there about phpBB.

I would definately use IPB because for me, it is very user-friendly and has a lot features along with mods and all the good stuff.

I use phpBB2. Can't figure out how to install any mds with it, though.

I currently use:

1. IPB- Invisionfree
2. PHPBB- Getphpbb
3. Spreebb- IPB Version(BETTER ADD-ONS)(MORE FEATURES)

I would love to use VBulletin, but, it costs money

I use SMF. It's easy to use and I like easy things. Though I must admit there are some features that I would like to see.

I use InvisionFree then when my community grows ill buy forum software, but i am miles away from getting it at the moment
