The has been a case where a forum was too active for me! You don't really feel like you are in a community if all the threads have like 200 posts. | ||||

If you have a non-tech savvy audience, they arent going to know to look for activity/how many are online. If they can't see it, they wont notice anything is missing...thus they wont think you are trying to hide anything. If your audience is very familiar with forums, though - if they notice that they cant see how many members/guests are online, they could speculate that you are trying to hide something.
