Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 50  | idea of how to get people using a feature i own a graphics design forum, and to start off with noone ever requested, i think 1) because noone knew about the place, 2) noone had requested before. well, ive advertised the place like crazy, and gotten a few extra members, but still noone requested. so i registered a "fake account" who was going to be our first requester. well, my designers didnt know it was me, so they went right on and made the graphic id requested, and seeing someone elses request triggered someone else to request, which made a few more people request and that got things going in my forums.. i think thats a good way to get people using something thats never been used before.. some people consider this cheating, but it works, right?   | ||||

Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 50 | yeah.. and by request, i mean request a graphic to be made.. my forum is a graphics design forum.. ive made a request form, users fill in the boxes with what they want, and they can choose from a drop down menu which designer they want to do their graphic, and when they hit submit it PMs the form to the designer they selected.

| ohh got it maybe make a fake member and then say i want blah and then you can make it and just do that a few times (do easier stuff but not to easy maybe they dont know how good you are at making graphics or whatever) it might work  | ||||
