This has become a huge phenomenon over the last few weeks for webmasters. It's a place where you can submit stories, articles, events, promotions, and what not for other users to read and then "digg" if they like it. The site gets an unusual amount of traffic and if you are lucky enough to get promoted to the first page, you are SURE to receive LOTS and I mean a LOT of visits. I personally have seen the effects of it indirectly...I had a few images of mine placed onto a page that was dugg and reached the front page. The bandwidth consumed by three images alone was 3 times the bandwidth I was using throughout an entire month...and this was only in a 2 day span. Have you ever had success with digg as a forum admin, and if so, what did it? I've been drawing blanks as far as what to submit to digg which has the potential to become a success. I submitted 3 forum articles of mine a month or so ago without much success. Also...there's another site almost identical to digg.com but not as big at http://www.shoutwire.com

I don't think it hurts, afterall, they are indeed visitors who saw the topic beforehand and then chose to check it out...it's not as if it is fake traffic. I'm under the impression that if you have written an article or have something newsworthy, it is worth submitting to digg...but don't write stuff ONLY for digg...unless of course you have a great idea which is sure to be dugg quite a bit
