I agree with the person who commented before about users talking to bots. Personally, I don't think the additional users that it drives to the site because of the discussion is worth it. No, I'm not insane, I just feel as though it's decieving users. Users come to a community to talk to others, not to talk to a bot for SEO purposes.

To each his own, but I'd still not be happy if I joined a community, and the comments I was making on people's threads weren't real people posting on the community at all, but simply an RSS feed. I know some people post news on their forums via RSS for people to discuss, and that's fine, but I wouldn't recommend making it seem like a real discussion.

If you want to create content for users to sign up, let people see that there's actual real conversation on your board and it feels a like community, or atleast hire real people to post on your forum to start. That's simply my opinion, but to each his own

I purchased this script or something similar several weeks back. i loved the concept, but it didn't work well and was very buggy. Not worth the cash it cost me.
