Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 13  | Specific Advice About Promoting This Forum Ok guys, I've read around the forums and well I'm having some major problems coming up with ideas to promote my new forum (http://www.sportscar.sc/ ). A lot of people suggest link exchanges and directory submissions, but I really doubt I'll gain any members from that. Myspace has been brought up, but that place has already received enough spam as it is. I'm sure people will just brush off my promotion and won't take it seriously. Does anybody have some suggestions on how I could promote my forum?  | ||||

| Use forum signatures. I still would do link exchanges and directory submissions because that will help your google rankings in the long run and get you more organic traffic.

Then it may generate some interest and then my signature will get noticed a lot (or maybe shamelessly plug my site into the article). Or do you recommend a lot of smaller posts? | ||||

| I wouldn't make posts directly promoting your site or anything but if you join similar forums and make well thought out posts people will notice your signature more than if you make one-liners. I also think you shouldn't just post once and leave with a big long article because that could look like sig spam.
