Hi

Now I have a brilliant idea to get the word out about my website and forums into the real world, i.e. the world seperate from the Internet world. My first ideas have been the following:

Leaflets put through peoples doors
Free Pens
Welcome Packs for users that register
Posters
Letter Headed material

Would just like some opinions on this? Do you lot think this idea of mine would work or would it be a waste of monetary funds.

I think the biggest question here is what kind of forums are you dealing with?

If it's the Downswar forums in your signature, I'm not sure that free pens or letter heads is going to attract people. If you're giving away freebies, it should be something that your audience would be interested in.

As far as leaflets...You're not going to be able to find many people locally to advertise to (unless you know of some store, club, etc. that deals with this stuff). To bring in new members to a forum like this, you almost have to stick to the internet.

And now is when I hope that you were asking about your Downswar forums and not some other forums
