Hi,

I own Sneaky Forum, Proxy Forum, Proxy Discussion, Proxy Owners it's a forum where proxy owners can discuss running proxies. Now, I have done some advertising alreayd via forum signatures, social bookmarking, directories etc but I still don't have a very active forum and wanted your guys expert knowledge on how I can get my forum more active.

A quick review shows that you don't have a lot of content. 264 posts in 86 threads. Google shows Results 1 - 10 of about 28

IMO, you should focus on building your content. Good luck!

some bits of advise:

content is king: build your content, put some usefull information on there that people will use and find interesting.

patience is a virtue: dont expect to have 1000's of member over night, usually it takes 12 months or longer to reach what I call 'critical mass' (where your user base grows quickly without advertising etc), especially if you are not willing to pay for advertising.

Dare to be different: Offer something different that no other similar forum does - its up to you but can sometime turn a crap forum into a myth buster!
